What to Accomplish in My 34th Year?

As the year comes to an end, and I just celebrated a birthday. I feel it’s important to set my goals and targets for the year ahead of me.

I’ve given some time to think about it, and I’ve come up with a list of goals and ideas that I’d like to share with you. I believe that creating a plan of action and working hard is essential for success! Also taking the time to make this public should increase my chances of reaching them with accountability!

During my years on this earth, I’ve set my fair share of goals and fought for each one. However, as I’ve gotten older and expanded different parts of my life, I’ve come to realize that it’s essential to set objectives for everything and not just one part of who I am.

In my 34th year, I’ll be focusing on the nine following goals.

1. Double My Business

It’s no secret that I’m driven, and one of my more ambitious, long-term goals is to double my business. Since starting my own fabrication business, BP Fabrication LLC, I have set out to build something that I can be proud of. So, during this upcoming year, I’ll be concentrated on expansion and hope to see significant growth!

There’s no room for slack if you want to achieve great things, and, fortunately, I’m not a complacent person and would like to implement systems that will automate my business to focus on expansion

2. Purchase a New House

Another goal I have for the year ahead is to purchase a new house. Acquiring our dream home is significant to my family and me. We’ve been fortunate enough to reach a place where we’re able to buy a house that we can all grow into and create new memories in. This is clearly a personal goal and something I want to achieve for my family!

This goal is fundamental to me as both a husband and a father.

Why I want to accomplish so much in my 34th year!

3. Investment into or Purchase of a Business

I’ve always been interested in entrepreneurship and owning my own business from a young age watching my mother and fathers’ business grow. Over the next year, I hope to make a serious investment into or purchase a second business.  To reach the level I want to be at I feel as though having as many streams of income is important!  It’s an exciting goal, and I can’t wait to see what happens!

I believe that this goal will benefit me financially and keep me motivated to work hard and succeed. I also think that setting such a big milestone for myself will help me stay motivated and inspired to make my goal a reality!  So, if you have a business for sale or know of one send me an email HERE!

4. Read at Least Five Books

My goal of reading at least five books in the year ahead is a plan that I feel will benefit me in multiple ways.

For one, it’ll help me learn more about the business world and explore new opportunities! Secondly, I’ll be able to learn more about personal development and growth, which is always important. Lastly, it’ll help me become a more well-rounded person.

As this goal is more than achievable and one that will leave me feeling accomplished, it’s worth considering for your own life as well!  Before being asked to join a book club, that eventually turned into the Brofessional Development Podcast, I never read.  That was a turning point in my journey of life!

5. Consistent Workouts Sub 15% Body Fat

If you want to be the best version of yourself, you must focus on your health and well-being!

That’s why I’ve chosen to work out consistently throughout the year. I know that this goal will help me reach my other ones, as being physically fit will help me stay mentally and emotionally strong!

This is a more challenging goal, but it’s achievable with hard work and dedication. Not only that but working out ensures that I stay fit and healthy so that I can focus on making the best of the upcoming 34th year of life. I got very close to this goal after completing 75Hard which you can read about HERE!

6. Travel

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and something that I definitely want to prioritize this year. With this, I hope to experience new things, broaden my horizon, and make memories with the ones that are closest to me!  I used to rarely choose vacations, but have realized it is important to enjoy the fruits of you labor!

I hope to take several trips, including traveling with my family, traveling with one person who’s closest to me (my wife, Cassie), and one with my close friends as well. Read my blog about our Mastermind trip in 2020 HERE!

7. Second Home Purchase: Airbnb and Family Getaway

Like most people who are working as entrepreneurs, it isn’t easy for me to find time to vacation and take a break. So, I plan to purchase a second home that will act as an Airbnb and a family getaway spot – perfect for taking a quick weekend trip!

This way, I’ll be able to take mini-vacations without having to worry about leaving my business unattended for too long. Have a good opportunity in the St. Louis area? Shoot me an email HERE!

8. Learn a New Skill

One goal that I’m really excited about is learning a new skill!

I’ve always been into the idea of learning a skill that I can use to make money and help my business grow. This goal is important because I’m always looking for new ways to differentiate myself from the rest of the pack. Learning something new will allow me to do just that.

I’ll also be able to put this new skill to good use and help my business in a big way. Not to mention, it’ll be a fun experience that I can share with all of you!

9. Build a Brand

This goal is essential for anyone looking to start their own business and will be one of my main efforts. However, it’s also a goal that I’m looking forward to for personal reasons. You see, building a brand is necessary to me because it allows me to have an impact on others.

In my 34th year, I’ll be focusing on building a brand and leveraging my notoriety to help benefit other people or brands. I believe that this goal will have the biggest impact on not just myself but also the people around me!

Setting Your Own Goals

The goal-setting process doesn’t need to be difficult, time-consuming, or stress-inducing. However, it’s important to remember that goal setting is ongoing!

You can go about goal setting by creating a goal list every month, quarter, or year to keep track of your progress and what you need to accomplish to reach your goal. Also, trying goal setting related to specific events or occasions can help make sure you achieve what you want in certain areas of your life.

One of the best ways you can accomplish goal setting is to create an accountability system with loved ones who can help you and hold you responsible on your journey towards success.

I hope you enjoyed reading about what to accomplish in my 34th year! Know keep me accountable!
